Track one features the 1962 Fifth Anniversary broadcast of Bob Crane's, (Hogan's Heroes) popular KNX Los Angeles morning radio program. Presented in a rapid fire manner, the show is sharp, fresh and witty, (rather an aural "Laugh In") with appearances by the likes of Paul Frees (In a Ludwig Von Drake kind of character), the comedy team of (Mike) Nichols & (Elaine) May, Jonathan Winters and even a cameo by what sounds like Ruth Buzzi. Complete with hilarious commercials and sponser plugs for Winston Cigarettes and Bayer Aspirin, this irreverant show really lays the ground work for so many of the raucous morning radio programs of today.

The flip side, (or track two) showcases comedian (or American Humorist as the liner notes describe him) Pat Buttram in his pre Mr. Haney (Green Acres) days. On this track you will hear Mr. Buttram use his concise and succinct style of wit with great apumb as he shares his insight into modern life of the day, and lampoons huge celebrities such as ("rising young commedian") Jack Benny and studio head Jack Warner of Warner Brothers.

What a rare treat it is to enjoy the rye, glib and intelligent repartete presented in this rare comedy LP from the early 1960s. This album was never available for sale but was a promotional item made by the studio to help sell radio spots.
